Information

Kaitlyn Darby is a multidisciplinary designer and artist whose practice spans interior design, spatial design, and object-making. With over a decade of experience in set design for film, fashion, and advertising, she brings a cinematic sensibility to the way spaces are composed, textured, and felt. Her work is grounded in an exploration of materiality, historical research, and the sensory dimensions of space—examining how environments shape perception and experience. Through this lens, she approaches design as an embodied form of storytelling, where material and form construct emotional resonance and invite sensory engagement.

In 2023, Kaitlyn co-founded errare, a multidisciplinary studio focused on sensory spatial design, with Se Young Au. The practice explores how emotional connection can be cultivated through the rendering of space, the treatment of materials, and the construction of form—creating environments that respond to the body and the surrounding world.

Previously, Kaitlyn was the Design Director at Studio Elsewhere, a New York–based studio working at the intersection of biophilic design, interactive technology, and healthcare. She is based between Los Angeles and Paris and additionally works in New York.
